Why work with a qualified appraiser?

Art appraisals are highly specialized, research-driven reports that require extensive market knowledge, methodological training, and adherence to professional standards. Properly developed appraisal reports provide clients with credible, well-supported opinions of value for insurance, estate planning, charitable donation, and legal purposes.

RAA provides objective opinions of value free from conflict-driven sales incentives. A Certified Appraiser of Personal Property (CAPP) of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), Katlin produces sound appraisal reports based on unbiased opinions of value. She complies with the requalification requirements of the International Society of Appraisers, the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and the Personal Property Appraiser Qualifications Criteria established by the Appraiser Qualifications Board of The Appraisal Foundation.

USPAP is the Congressionally authorized ethical and performance standard for the appraisal profession in the United States, is the standard used by members of the ISA, and is recognized by both the Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board (CCPERB) and the Canada Revenue Agency.
